Colt Agent is a semi-automatic, lightweight revolver that was introduced in 1962. It is believed to be a lower-price version of the Colt Cobra pistol model. The original pistol featured a less highly polished blue finish and smaller, simplified grips with shorter bottom than of the Cobra's. The original Agent was available only in .38 Special caliber, with a 2-inch barrel. It was produced between 1962-1979. In 1973, a slightly revised version of the Agent was released with a shrouded barrel and a weight of 454 g. Production of the revived the Colt Agent continued until 1986.
